Some of us don’t need to take the challenge as we live quite happily without Facebook, Twitter & IM. It’s amazing how much control and conceitedness one can have using just mobile phone & email, and these tend not become addictive or obsessive. I find that people who use Facebook & Twitter become much less creative and productive. In my freelance business I avoid them as they become a liability. Of course they might never know they have a problem as they tend only to communicate with other social network junkies, and like all junkies in the end, they become antisocial in the deepest sense. What irony!
